In its first stage, CANTATIERRA assumed the realization of meetings of Tolima's rural music with the aim of compiling musical material from primary sources (Chaparral 1985 -2005, Falan - Palocabildo, 1993).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cantatierra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Cantierra-los-8-e1680277270290.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-101\" width=\"467\" height=\"253\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cantatierra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Cantierra-los-8-e1680277270290.jpg 716w, https:\/\/cantatierra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Cantierra-los-8-e1680277270290-300x163.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 467px) 100vw, 467px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Cantatierra was a member of the International Federation of Musical Youth, as a base group for Colombia. In 1985 it made its first international tour in Canada as a structured group of folk music. From then on, the group carried out an intense work of diffusion, performing more than 80 concerts a year in different cities of Colombia and universities, at regional and national level.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cantatierra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-49\" width=\"482\" height=\"209\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cantatierra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/1.jpg 1004w, https:\/\/cantatierra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/1-300x130.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cantatierra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/1-768x334.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 482px) 100vw, 482px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The study on the life and work of the composer Cantalicio Rojas Gonz\u00e1lez was published in 1993 in Ibagu\u00e9 by the researcher Humberto Galindo, recording a disc with a compilation of the reeds and other unpublished works of the composer.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cantatierra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/10.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-72\" width=\"487\" height=\"222\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cantatierra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/10.jpg 923w, https:\/\/cantatierra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/10-300x137.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cantatierra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/10-768x350.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 487px) 100vw, 487px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Thanks to a grant from the Fondo Mixto de Cultura del Tolima, Cantatierra developed the musical production of the research project Mujeres protagonistas en la M\u00fasica del Tolima, by researcher Humberto Galindo. This production compiled the musical work of the composers Leonor Buenaventura de Valencia, Isabel Chava Rubio and Blanca \u00c1lvarez de Parra.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cantatierra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Neustadt.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-105\" width=\"492\" height=\"228\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>n the Nineties, Cantatierra carried out pedagogical work in different companies in Ibagu\u00e9, such as the National Federation of Coffee Growers, Electrolima, ICA, Comersa, Industrias Aliadas, Telecom, among others, which allowed him to carry out artistic processes in the area of music, with children, young people and multipliers in rural areas. With the Social Foundation articulated the project \"Music for life\" aimed at families relocated from the Combeima disaster in vulnerable sectors of Ibagu\u00e9.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cantatierra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/9.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-56\" width=\"503\" height=\"211\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cantatierra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/9.jpg 998w, https:\/\/cantatierra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/9-300x126.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cantatierra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/9-768x323.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 503px) 100vw, 503px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Cantatierra has advised pedagogical projects of various educational institutions and developed musical programs for children and youth, forming groups that reached a high level of representation in regional and national events. Participating in the formation of traditional music schools through agreements with Municipal Houses of Culture of Tolima in agreement with the Ministry of Culture and the Fondo Mixto de Cultura del Tolima; among them are the Encuentros de M\u00fasica Campesina del sur del Tolima, held in Chaparral Tolima, with the discographic production of the same.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cantatierra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Coro-Natagaima-1024x387.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-106\" width=\"522\" height=\"197\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cantatierra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Coro-Natagaima-1024x387.gif 1024w, https:\/\/cantatierra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Coro-Natagaima-300x114.gif 300w, https:\/\/cantatierra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Coro-Natagaima-768x291.gif 768w, https:\/\/cantatierra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Coro-Natagaima-1536x581.gif 1536w, https:\/\/cantatierra.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Coro-Natagaima-2048x775.gif 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 522px) 100vw, 522px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>CANTATIERRA has performed in the most outstanding Colombian stages such as La Sala Luis \u00c1ngel Arango, The Le\u00f3n de Greiff auditorium, the Colombo American Center in Bogot\u00e1, Cali and Medell\u00edn, and in the main Universities of the country; likewise, with its work it has toured most of the towns of the Department of Tolima.\n\nAs a guest group, it has participated in the Festivals \u201cMono Nu\u00f1ez\u201d, Cotrafa, Colombian Folk Festival and National Colombian Music Festival, and has received the Order of the Pacand\u00e9 of the Municipality of Natagaima in recognition of the dissemination of the work of Cantalicio Rojas Gonz\u00e1lez.
